Jane Minto

I solve real people's problems through design thinking, using evidence and empathy, in order to make their lives better.

One of the best parts of my job is getting to talk directly to people - to understand first hand their challenges and needs. I believe that talking to customers, and involving them throughout the design process, is the best way to create great experiences.

I'm interested in using new and emerging technology to push the creative boundaries of UX design and problem-solving. And I’m excited to see how emerging technology will start to disrupt the traditional UCD process.

I work closely with my clients to meet their business and strategic goals whilst tirelessly working to craft user-centric experiences that improve their customer’s lives:

I designed a multi-award winning service, connecting older people with volunteer telephone befrienders to help combat loneliness. I've also been exploring how conversational and voice interfaces can help the aging population access critical information and advice.

I've also led one of the UK's largest energy providers to develop a new mobile app that helps their customers to stay in control of their energy.

Away from project work, I also teach in-house training courses - teaching individuals and organisations how to put their users' problems at the heart of their day to day operations.

You'll often see me speaking at events, as I strongly believe it's important to share my learnings with the wider UX community.
